Thursday 16th November 2023
Raz shut his door and sat on the stone wall to put his hiking boots on. Setting off he followed the path climbing up the valley. He then clambered up rocky outcrops covered in moss and lichen.
A short rest before taking on the final ascent, The Slide. (As kids they had slid down on sheets of cardboard or old coal sacks somehow avoiding the rocks below).
Raz stopped just below the summit, sat against a rock, his feet dangling over the cliff to eat breakfast. He basked in the newly risen sun. Such a glorious start to his day.
