Tuesday 7th November 2023
John’s brothers and their families were visiting. Chatting, singing and laughter emanated from every corner, kids dashing in and out. Cooking was in full swing, soon they would be crammed round the large oak dining table till feasting was done. He loved these monthly family celebrations, this time John took care spending time with each brother, sister in law and his many nieces and nephews.
At 8pm he retired to bed. Peace and quiet, well almost. That morning John’s Doctor said very soon. He had said goodbye to everyone, but not told a soul. Ready now, John breathed his last.
